Lighting for Responsible Person
Within a building, it is a requirement for the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, that a responsible person takes reasonable steps to reduce the risk of fire and ensure that people can safely escape from the building.
This person must have a degree of control of the building, whether it is the owner or facility manager, and is responsible for the identification of escape routes and potential hazards, as well as identifying the emergency lighting requirements. Points of emphasis require a luminaire within 2m.
