JD Sports is one of the largest retailers of sports products in the UK, with overseas branches and a brand that appeals to younger demographics.

One of the major challenges facing retail stores is how to highlight specific products, and orient customers towards where products are located. JD Sports used the Starlite LED STRIP to focus customer attention on product sections.

The striking nature of the LED STRIP lighting is what led to its use in the stores. With minimal energy consumption in comparison to traditional lamps, and significantly more aesthetically pleasing, the LED STRIPS were an obvious choice for the apparel retailer.

The strips were used to highlight specific brands of shoes, the outer casing of clothing racks, and also to outline ceiling art motifs, to set the tone of the store.

The visuals of the LED STRIP demonstrate the young, stylish vibe that JD Sports wants to portray. The lights have a lifespan of 30,000 hours, and are supplied as standard neural white (4000K), but can be customised to provide warm white (3000K).
