Rosehall Manor Care Home is an attractive, purpose-built elderly care residential home, located in fine garden grounds with outlooks to the open country of Lanarkshire, Scotland.
The home is registered for 64 residents and enjoys an excellent reputation locally with wide corridors and spacious rooms, giving the home a light, airy feel.
Every bedroom has full private facilities as well as open outlooks. The home has only recently been refurbished to a very high standard. As a result, it is a single storey building with wide corridors, with a light airy feel throughout. Residents can access the carefully designed sensory garden from throughout the home.
Key to maintaining this level of comfort is the lighting system in place at the home. Tamlite supplied a number of products to upgrade the lighting system throughout the exterior, residential areas and bedrooms. All of these spaces were fitted with various key energy saving, low maintenance solutions.
The solutions
Firstly, interior lighting solutions included the MERIDIAN, a high-performance bulkhead. This luminaire comes with a range of colour options and DALI dimmable technology. The attractive design of the product means that it does not look out of place in the modern, contemporary care home.
Exterior solutions include the HURRICANE PLAIN and FRESCO bollard. Both solutions provide high outputs, with minimal energy consumption due to their LED technology. Exterior lighting is vital at Rose Hall, due to the sophisticated garden space at the care home. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the outdoor areas, so it's important that the lighting keeps the area safe and secure.
Emergency lighting was also a key priority for the care home, ensuring that patients, visitors and staff could safely vacate the building in the event of a loss of mains power. All lights have a three-hour emergency rating, which is crucial to ensure that illumination is maintained for as long as possible.
