Princess Elizabeth Hospital
Part of Healthcare Group Guernsey, Princess Elizabeth Hospital is the leading healthcare provider in the Channel Islands, and in order to provide the optimal conditions for staff and patients, a lighting upgrade was initiated throughout the hospital.
There were a number of issues with the legacy fluorescent lighting that needed to be addressed with the new system. In communal areas, such as corridors and stairwells, the lights were on at all times, so it was important that the fittings minimised energy consumption and reduced the time of use.
xcite Downlights were supplied for the patient communal spaces, such as waiting rooms and the building entrance. These discreet fittings provide a comfortable environment for visitors, while reducing energy usage.
In stairwells, xcite Bulkheads were installed. These energy efficient fittings were supplied with movement sensor options to ensure that the light is only used when it is needed, reducing energy costs for the hospital.
The xcite Bulkheads also had emergency options, providing sufficient illumination in the event of a loss of mains power to allow building occupants to evacuate safely in an emergency.
xcite products can be bought over the counter at your local CEF Store, or ordered for next day delivery via CEF Online. To get more information on where to buy, contact your local CEF store.
